Who are some of the most-listened-to pop music artists today? For example, who is the current equivalent of Claudio Baglioni, Leandro Barsotti, Angelo Branduardi, Jovanotti, etc. Are these artists still popular? Has some of this music style (I think of it as heavy on rhythm, minimal melody) evolved into rap? I don't know a lot about the current popular music scene in Italy today, and would like to learn more.
I am using music lyrics to practice my Italian, and would like to familiarize myself with the pop music scene at the same time.

You might try radioitalia.it or if they have a station in your area you can listen on the radio. They play only music in italiano and tend to follow the most recent music.

I don't think he's exactly cutting-edge today's sound, but when I was buying Italian music for the same purpose, I found that Eros Ramazzotti was a good choice. He has a very clean pronunciation.
