Hello Everyone,
I am currently living and studying in Bologna. I have a student visa & permesso di soggiorno which are valid until January 13, 2013. I am now doing a stage (internship) as a part of my university program for a small travel company (which has is a half american/half italian company, incorporated in and with offices in both Italy and the US).
The plan going forward is to stay in Italy and continue working for this company out of their Italian office.
I am going crazy trying to find some "official" answers online about HOW and WHEN i need to get the process started to convert my PdiS for studio to a PdiS for lavoro.
Also-- the company is based in Salerno and I am currently living in Bologna (I work remotely and take periodic trips down to the office).
My boss is fine with issuing me an employment contract from the italian division of the company... but what else do I need? Also, when and where (Bologna or Salerno) do I attempt to put this into motion? I will be back in New York (where I am originally from, and where my student visa was issued)...is it something I can take care of more easily via the consulate in New York?
Really just looking for some answers so I can start to plan ahead!
