You might want to give context.
An atto is an act. Legal document.
It should be "number of the document", where codice= code, number and atto = (official) document.
Context would help.
I was trying to pay my IMU via online banking, and it asked for "codice Atto" but I'm not sure exactly what they were referring to.
Yeah, you need to fill out an F24 directly on the bank site to be able to pay it. but if you do not know how to fill out the F24, it makes it a little more difficult. What I did was calcualted the IMU online and printed a copy of the F24 that it generated then I went online with my bank and filled in all of the spaces that were filled in on the one I printed. BTW Codice Atto is not one of the spaces that had to be filled out.

I used one of those on-line IMU calculation sites which offered the option to fill in the F24 form. I entered my personal data and property data on-line and then printed the form(s) on A-4 paper.
Then I handed the printed pages to my banker and he arranged payment without further action. In other words, a bit of typing but no writing and no guessing about what data to put where. Easy.

Anyway, the calculator is here http://www.riscotel.it/calcimu/comuni_0601/calcimu.html?comune=null then calculate and print this but if you want to do it online instead of going to the bank, just use the info on the printed copy and fill in all the correct spaces on your bank system and it will pay it correctly.

All done now! I completed and printed the form from the riscotel site, then took it into the bank and arranged for it to be paid directed from my current account. It was all done in a couple of minutes. The codice atto related to the comune in which the property is located. It was on my property documents, I just didn't know what I was looking for.

On the example F24 I posted the only place I see atto is for IVA payments.
