I would like a referral for an experienced genealogy researcher please. I have tried to work with a couple so far from the certification web sites and I have only had "kooks".
Does anyone have personal exposure to someone that is professional & experienced that can consult on a difficult case?
One took a lot of $$ and then reguritated my documents back to me, others I was referred to were not taking any new clients, and the last one said she had larangitis (sp?) and would get back with me when she recovered, when I checked on her she said " I've got some ideas I'm working on for you- I'll get back with you soon"- she couldn't have any ideas we never got to a point of discussing anything. :shock:
Any suggestions would be helpful as I continue the search for my GF's birth records! And my appt looms (11/12)

The birth record I need for GF is from Brooklyn, NY. He was probably born at home and I have to date been unable to find a baptismal record either. So I need a researcher that can help with US records.

You could try jimmysal "at" comcast.net. I haven't spoken to him in a while, but he is very reputable and won't charge you if he can't find anything. Good luck.
