Tuscany is not unlovely in winter, but it is cold and windy. Spring is coming in a couple of weeks. The house is basically finished, but there is much to do: wax the floors, move furniture, buy supplies and other necessary items and take delivery of my container from New York. I've been back two days now and have had lunch and dinner with friends here in the Val d'Orcia, met with my contractor, filled up the car, done a little shopping, read the mail (some of it), and organized the kitchen a bit. I will curl up with homemade soup and a book and baby my jet lag for a day.
