Today was a semi-holiday in Italy and I spent it with friends in town. We had a festive lunch and then got into the holiday spirit by going down to San Quirico d'Orcia for the olive festival. I've never seen SQ with so many people. Lots of wine tasting and olive oil tasting and all the stores had winter solstice lights up for the crowds buying holiday gifts. My first winter here even if I have to cut it short and fly away in a week.
