Winter has started to impinge on autumn with a vengeance today, but before it does I want to record the beauty of fall here. If they ever get the heat turned on, I will be able to move into the top two floors of my home in Castiglion d'Orcia. Perhaps next week. Then I'll be able to post lots of pictures of the renovation, albeit with minimal interior decoration.

In the meantime, last weekend was perfect for the olive harvest and for glorious foliage.
