I'm going quite mad between the consulate and the shippers, the real estate lawyer and the tax accountant, doctors and dentists, pharmacists and notaries. Today I spent five hours at the consulate. I haven't done my taxes or, more to the immediate point, the inventory for the shipping insurance. Everyone wants a piece of me before I go and there is no way I can fit half of them into the schedule. And I am trying! If they don't understand, well then I just won't be home when they come for their visits to Italy. So there!
(just a little stress, folks)


But I know my real friends will forgive and look forward to coming over. And I can't wait to see them!!!

Today we are entering a new paradigm: the energy and passion that I see on this mega-blog will ensure that it becomes not just the premiere electro-salon of the liberal elite, but the soul-search engine for the entire Alter-net. In today's fast-moving, cross-pollinating media perfect storm we don't always want considered essays or spelled-out arguments. Sometimes we just want to say "Bush sucks". Joanna: I *completely* feel your pain -- just wanted to tell you that your Blog has been a total source of inspiration for me as I am in the midst of the 21-day countdown for my move to Italy (will be in Tuscany, also - near Monte San Savino.) We'll have to try to get together for a glass of wine once we're both there and share frustrations and thrills! Keep up the blog and let us know how it's going!
