It's finished!

Well Romano arrived at 5.30 yesterday evening and finished the last little bit of wall.

SO - IT'S FINALLY FINISHED!!!

I'll now have to think of flowers for the troughs on the drive and the hanging plant holders on the balcony (last years 'trailing geraniums' do look a bit poorly to say the least...). I might try some bright coloured petunias for the balcony. I'll probably go to the weekly market in Colico on Friday and see what the locals have on offer. You usually get good value for money from them.

I'll try and get one or two pictures too - now that it's complete. What has been nice have been the compliments from the villagers over recent days. The general feeling has been that the house now brightens up this piece of the backdrop to the 'lower village', and it is nice to see when my light is switched on (andleft on) 'through night'. I think that is such a nice thing to say!

That's good news. Now you can sleep in a little later! Happy Spring.

SEE HOW YOU BRIGHTENED THE VILLAGES AMBIENCE AND THEY KNOW.

PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK :) YOU CAN BE REALLY PROUD OF YOURSELF EVERY TIME YOU LOOK AT YOUR "VILLA" NOW.

PEOPLE ALWAYS WATCH US BUT IT IS NICE WHEN THEY APPRECIATE OUR WORK AND TELL US.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PICTURES.

If those geraniums survived winter, cut them back with scissors and start feeding them. Because they are older plants, they'll come on really well.

This is the first year mine made it!cgvlq

Thanks Judith. They've been on the landing in the mansarda so do have a few scraggly branches and little leaves. They aren't dead by any means but are just mking me envious at their thin little figures.... I'll get the geranium feed out of the hay store and set to!

Great Carole! That went rather quickly!

Can't wait to see the house in all of it's glory!
