A frosty rose.....

This is the beautiful effect of the heavy frost on a rock on the opposite side of my lane. A frost which has been lingering here in the village for over a week now.

But the temperature has risen slightly this afternoon and has been up to 1°c (!). But all the villagers predict that this is a sign that the snow will be with us very soon. It's actually forecast (yet again) for tomorrow.... So a Happy New Year (maybe) for all those snow lovers then.

I bet all the skiers have their fingers crossed!

I guess that winter has finally started to arrive over here. My wife just took a pair of her jeans off the line and they were frozen. I just checked and it is 27 F or -3 C. Next thing you know it will be this cold during the day. Hope that you had a Happy New Year! Gil

Hey CB Felice Anno Nuovo!!!

Has this been a weird winter for weather this year or what. We were very frosty too for a few days, now it's drizzling, so maybe it's snowing up your way as I type..think I'll give you a call if I can find your #!

They've forecast snow (again) tonight....just have to wait I s'pose!

But you're right - it is strange this year (or perhaps that was because it was strange LAST year and is back to normal now. I wonder?
