"La Diavolezza"

Forgot these two.... These were taken on my birthday too....This is the famous "Diavolezza" range at the top of the Bernina Pass just above San Moritz and on the road to Tirano. It seems incredible, but this snow remains here nearly always.
On this particular afternoon the temperature where we took the photo from was about 24°C, but down at the lowest part of the valley near Tirano it was still 'belting out' a healthy (?) 29°C!!!!





I never cease to remain in awe of such beauty, and sites like the mountain pastures I showed before, and these majestic snow covered peaks all go to making me so very glad that I am living just a stones throw away!
