A couple of 'One Offs'!

I took this photo on my birthday. It gave, I thought, a good idea of how beautiful and vast the 'Sound Of Music' type mountain pastures can be.... The farmers are getting close now to thier fourth and last 'summer cut' for their hay making. That is why the pastures like this always look so 'neat and tidy'. That grass, once cut and dried will be the salvation of thier livestock throughout the long winter ahead.






And the photo below is - for any speedboat fans who are out there - this power boat belongs to the family who run the 'boat transportation' company at the bottom of the garden (so to speak).
They are connected (family wise) with the Granchi de luxe boat builders here in the village and every so often this orange beauty is parked here before being taken off for yet more races I would imagine.
Wouldn't mind one of those myself to play with.....but it wouldn't leave any room for me in the bath - would it?
