I Confetti....
Here are the 'bonboniere di confetti' that are traditionally given to family and very close friends at wedding and other similar ceremonies in Italy.
Each of these boxes contain a glass plate with a 'decoupage' flower design all done over the winter months by Daniela. In addition a little bage with both their initials embroidered on and intertwined wedding bands which contained five sugared almonds (the confetti). For second and third members of family there were little 'chests' containing five confetti too. Plus a large bowl of these sweets was passed round and tradition requires that you take either three or five sweets each time - no more and no less!
