MORE EXCITEMENT!
Well today the stars must be lined up right or something. Since it was so beautiful outside, I decided I should go ahead and clean out the rest of the pots that had herbs in them. I had moved the basil close to the house, but it's dead now, and since we're leaving in less than a week (YIKES!) I thought this would be a good day for some cleaning up.
I had about six pots that still had dirt in them, so I carried them two by two down to the garden to dump them. They had good potting soil in them, and I didn't want to waste it.
Imagine my surprise when several of the pots turned out to have lots of beautiful, fat earthworms in them! I hope they settle into their new home in the garden, and I hope they multiply rapidly! Now all I have to hope for is that I can find some tomato plants in the spring before we go back to the states. If I don't, they won't get into the ground until we return on May 27th, which is much later than I would like. At least I now have both manure AND worms in my garden!
